Writing Contest - $50
As part of our goal to assist people in understanding the importance of Social Media websites such as Digg.com, LinkRetailer is pleased to host the Article Popularity Contest. We hope that this contest will enable people to realize the importance and benefit of social media and how quality content can help a website obtain more links and traffic.
Each article submitted to the contest will be posted on this website. Once the article is posted, you can submit the article to Digg.com by just clicking on the link below any article in LinkRetailer Blog. At the end of the competion, the article with the most Digg.com Diggs will win.
You do not have to be an expert or experienced writer!
This competition is designed to get everyone, regardless of experience, involved. There are no entry fees or other pre-requisites.
The contest is quite simple. All you have to do is write article between 200 and 1000 words. The article that is the most popular (based off largest number of Digg.com diggs), and complies with the Official Rules, at the end of the competition wins the prize of $50.
When does the competition take place?The contest begins on June 27, 2007! The deadline for all entries is:
August 31,2007 , 12:00 PM EDT.
To enter, just email contest@linkretailer.com and we will create an account for you so you can enter your articles directly into LinkReatiler Blog.
If approved, your entry will be posted on our Website. Then just submit the article to the major social media websites. At the end of the competition, the most popular entry will win.
HINT: (Be sure to tell your friends and family about your entry as the winner is determined by the number of social media votes).
$50 Cash Prize! The winner of the contest will be awarded $50 which will be paid via PayPal.
Links to Your Website! Participants are allowed to submit up to two URL’s with their entry. Your link will be included at the bottom of your entry along with any additional author information you would like included.
Publicity! The successful entry will be viewed by thousands of people. This is a great opportunity to be seen and heard.
- Maximum of five (5) entries per person.
- Your submission must be an article, news item, how-to guide, tutorial, or even a top # list.
- Work previously published will not be considered.
- The winner will be chosen by members of Digg.com. The entry with the most Digg.com diggs on August 31, 2007 at 12:00 PM EDT wins!
- If there is a tie, a third party will be chosen to select a winner. Their decision is final.
- There must be a minimum of ten (10) contestants for the contest to take place.
- Upon entering the contest, you agree to grant exclusive publication rights of your work to LinkRetailer.com.
- The deadline date may be subject to change.
- LinkRetailer.com is able to reject entries that are of poor taste, offensive, poorly written or for any other reason at the discretion of LinkRetailer.com.
- LinkRetailer.com reserves the right to modify these rules.
